2003 Hyundai Tiburon Se overheating!

I have a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon Se (2.0, 4cyl) the other day while driving I noticed the engine started overheating to about 3/4 while driving...but when on a stop sign or red light would go back to normal. There are no leaks anywhere on my driveway or engine. Can someone tell me whats happening?!...Took it to the dealership and they told me my head gasket is leaking..how is that possible??? I have 120k's on the car!

If there's water coming out of the exhaust pipe its a head gasket but it could be a bad thermostat and when your car gets to a certain temperature the fan will come on and cool it off

well the head gasket could be leaking but your car should get hotter when you stop and cool down when you drive but a head gasket will probably run about 700 bucks

Wife driving her 2003 Tiburon and the engine light came on. Car checked the oil okay drove home with light on? Seems to be okay? Should we take to a dealer to have it checked?

Yes, oil level has nothing to do with the Check Engine light. Make sure the gas cap is on tight. If it was loose, just keep driving it will go off on its own in a few days. If its tight, there is another problem and a dealer or good repair shop can check it out for you. keep away from any chain store operation.

I have a 2003 Tiburon Se what kind of oil do i need

Most autos made in the last 10 years or so use 5W-30 motor oil. Check your owners manual. Also, it usually is on the oil filler cap on the engine.

My '99 Tiburon is overheating quite frequently. Coolant is full, but when idling it overheats 3 out of 5 times.. All answers are must appreciated, thanks.

try changing the fan sensor switch on the cylinder head ,also the thermostat ,but again without my head under the bonnet its difficult to diagnose as it coulod be the rad blocked ,quick measure is to turn heater on full on screen and this should cool the engine if its a blocked rad or a jammed thermostat .

Hi i have a 2003 hyundai tibron it over heated and i fix the leak. And it was running good then i put some stop leak in it then it ran ok tell the next day then it started missing bad the drive side tail...

It sounds like the head gasket is blown or the head cracked. These cars are known for the damage to the engine from overheating. Check the oil dipstick and see if it looks milky. If so then there is water in the oil and the gasket or the head is shot. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I have a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon that is overheating. How can I tell if I have a bad water pump or if it could be the thermostat. Does not appear to be a radiator leak or hose leak, but I am constantly...

If it's overheating it will lose antifreeze.I would change the thermostat first and see it it solves the overheating problem if not then worry about the water pump. Thermostats are only $7-10.

Tiburon 2005 SE 6 cly. I've replaced the TPS 3

how does it break???? it must not be installed properly, what happened to the first one??? theres no reason one should break??? I think a qualified repair shop should look at it and determine what is wrong before you spend any more money on a TPS.

This generally indicates a vaccumn leak, or sticking idle air control valve.
