Question about 1998 Nissan Maxima
Got back from vacation and car had trouble starting. thought it might just be from the week off. drove it for a short amount of time, then parked it. went back out to leave, and car wouldnt start. Times vary from hearing a clicking noise to hearing nothing. i thought it was the battery so i tried jumping it, to no avail. changed out old worn down battery terminals, and still nothing. dash lights work and dont fade. just doesnt even make a sound when i turn the key.
might be starter, but i dont know where to locate that. not very car literate, but trying to learn to cut down costs.
Jack up car you will locate the starter, but first tak battery to shop and have it tested, could be a dead cell in battery. Remove starter take it to shop and have it tested.
