Hi, back again. Changed the fuel filter and a new

Hi, back again. Changed the fuel filter and a new battery also, but still the same problem. Wants to start, just about makes it then stops on it's own.. almost like a "kill switch" is there, Fuel Pump gets up to pressure runs for about 2 seconds, then stops, loses pressure and no gas getting in. Next is to check the plugs, but am looking to find the fuel pump reset switch.. any ideas?

No fuel pump reset switch on a Jimmy. If your pressure goes up to normal, then drops back down after 2 seconds, you need a new fuel pump as the return is not working correctly to keep fuel in the lines.

2.0 sdi running on 3 have changed fuel filter

Your not too bright--- I'm sorry

Changing a gas filter & then saying it ran a lot better
is not correct at all.

The problem comes back 220 miles later--so you change
the fuel filter again,absolutely stupid

You know that one cylinder is not contributing, would you
not go to a repair shop to have that resolved

Hello. My 1997 Chevy Tahoe refuses to start. The problems began with a bad fuel pump. I changed. It worked. The fuel pump died again. I changed it again and it has been working. I parked it for two weeks....

Now you have a good battery & a starter that turns over the motor

Have you cycled the key on & off with a fuel pressure gauge on the
fuel rail?

Do you have a fuel filter that isn't over 3 or 4 years old?

Have you checked for spark while cranking ? Use an old plug on the wires,
if you have ignition wires, don't ground the wire without resistance

If you removed the ducting & MAF Sensor it won't start

Tell us what you checked & exactly how that was done.

How to replace fuel filter on 1995 jeep cherokee sport?

Hi,

it IS on the inside of the drivers side rear frame. In between the back wheels and the gas tank. You have to the pressurize your fuel system first unless you want gas every where. Take your fuel pump relay start the jeep until the fuel in the lines get used up. then put your relay back after you disconnect the battery, than take the filter off, put the new one on, and then hook your battery up and start the jeep. it will run odd for a minuet but after it builds the fuel pressure up it will be smooth again.

Good luck.

Oh and don't smoke while your doing this!! :

96 s10 2.2 4cyl. running lean . It has new fuel pump and fuel filter. I've checked the converter, new 195 degree thermostat, changed fuel regulator, changed front 02 sensor, changed coils and Diagnostic tool...

I know you said new fuel pump and filter but I would recheck the fuel pressure. Drive the vehicle with the fuel pressure gauge on it and see if the pressure drops after 10 minutes.

1998 Chevy Blazer kills after a hour on highway after a hour or more it will start , I've had the fuel pump, fuel filter changed and it happened again after a month, I 've had the battery, distributor ,...

You have a short somewhere, sounds like the engine ground. Check the big cables under the hood and under the car. Just brush off the rust with a wire brush and don't forget the cables. Bolt them back up and try it again. There are at least 2 on a 98 blazer depending on where it's made. One from battery to engine, one probably from engine to firewall, and one probably from egine or tranny to the frame. May even be one from battery to frame. So look around. If it's a black cable clean it up.

1992 Chrysler LeBaron 3.0 L. V6 Engine runs beautifully but after 16-20 miles highway driving engine stalls as if flooded, or as if fuel is cut-off. After sitting for a few minutes, will start and run...

the owner probably rerouted the fuel line because like my 92 chrysler lebaron v6 3.0 the fuel lines keep seeming to come off and the clamps always break. I have replaced the clamps 5 times in a month and replaced filters 2 times in 2 months. The only thing i could think of is that your fuel is being cut off possibly because there is no filter to clean all the junk out. Try putting a fuel filter on and see if that will work
