Passenger Side Power Window gets stuck part way up or down. Do I need to replace the window motor. Any guidance is appreciated!
The vehicle is now a decade old, and I'll wager that the window regulators have never been greased. GREASE THEM. You'll need to remove the door panels, clean all tracks and pivots, add lithium grease to all tracks, and use penetrating oil to lubricate all pivots. You really should grease the motor gear as well. DO THIS BEFORE YOU BURN THE MOTORS OUT, as that is what will happen next if you don't lubricate the mechanisms.
SOURCE: Replacing Passenger Window Motor
Just replaced 2004 passenger side motor. Bought motor/gearbox for 31 dollars, free shiping on line, removed motor and regulator , looks like a guide with cables, leaving it all together. We taped window at top and used a pair of small vice grips to clamp the small cable to the frame so it wouldn't move . As we removed the 3 small screws holding the motor/gearbox in place , it slips out showing it has a large plastic spline gear slightly visible . We used a small screw driver to seperate the gear/motor from what looks like a barrell with that cable wrapped around it. We were careful
not to let this cable drum get loose, so we made sure one person held it inside the housing. Slipped the new drive in and done with that. No one mentioned there was a bracket holding the door panel and I had to pop out the manual lock button to access a small screw, don't drop that screw down insde the door, would be hard to get out. I didn't have to make any adjustment and it works great.

When removing the door panel, you need to remove all of the screws first. Then pull the door panel off. There should be screws around the edges or the door panel, and 1-2 screw on the door handle(on the inside). Then pop the door panel off, if the blazer has electric windows and locks you have to disconect them first, if it doesnt have power locks and windows, you have to take the window crank off, there should be a screw in the center of that. Unscrew the door lock and pull up. If it doesnt have them locks then you have to disconect it from inside the door panel

The problem may be in the wiring which if you pull up the carpet on the front passenger side by
removing the door floor trim and lifting the carpet you will see the
wiring underneath. Probably laying in water or has been. Look for splices in the
wiring which will have corroded. Repair the wiring then check the fuse.
Another problem may be in the motor found inside the door.
The brushes may have worn out. If so you need to replace the motor.
Ususally the drivers side will fail first since it is the most used.

If it does not make any noise, or sound like its getting any power, most likely its the switch.

I would try to test the ground the motor first, also you can duplicate the ground with no consequence. If the motor is real dirty/ dusty, you may be able to clean it and ck the brushes in it while you are there.
