Bad lifter or cam follower, maybe a bad wrist pin. Change oil asap and replace one quart of oil with Lucas.
Thanks but I'm not very mechanical. Would this b a hazardous issue if I were to finish our trip. Not sure if I can find anywhere to change oil on Sunday. Seems to drive fine and need to get where we're going. Thoughts??
if it has a 5.4 L triton motor it could be a loose spark plug as well. I have seen many of those motors blow the plugs right out of the head. if it is a mechanical problem and that part fails it could lead to you being stuck on the side of the road and quite a Chuck of change to repair it asking with towing bills. 8 hours of driving is hard on a engine and an engine with a mechanical problem your just begging for failure. I don\'t think it would be hazardous if it broke but just have food and water supplies on hand incase you get stuck in a area that you may not have cell signal and help is not readily accessible.

you are going to have to get taht transmision checked on. all you have to do for the lights is find the fuse panel and find the schematic for the fuses and change them out.

My 2003 F150 Supercrew would not engage in 4x4, it ended up being the shifting fork in the front end, cost me $200.

Watch out! You might have a loose wheel! Check those wheel nuts. If not, a loose brake caliper, or last if not least, a bad wheel bearing. Don't drive it until you find out what the heck is wrong! Could be dangerous.
