Why headlights come on for 10 seconds then go off?

Headlight switch is probably bad if it`s working intermittently. You should have daytime running lights, headlights, and high beams. I`m sure they are all on the same handle. That handle has seen a lot of use. Good news is some of these are available in the aftermarket special order from a company called HELP.

Where is the dimmer at on the 2002 Toyota Corolla?

it's usually on the handle that turns on your lights usually you have to haul that handle toward you or opposite to turn on high beam or turn off high beam

My headlights wont work

I don't believe there is a fuse. There is a circuit breaker built into the headlight switch. If you are sure the headlight switch is good, it could be a bad dimmer switch. If you have a voltmeter, with the headlight switch turned on, a larger yellow wire going from the headlight switch to the dimmer switch should be a hot wire. The dimmer switch sends power on a tan wire to the low beams, and through a light green wire to the high beam bulbs.
If your high beam indicator on the dash also doesn't work, then it is likely one of those switches. A voltmeter or test light would need to be used to find which one is bad. If you can find the connector at the steering column going to the dimmer switch, pull it apart and check for power on the yellow wire coming from the headlight switch, with the headlight switch turned on. If no power, the headlight switch is bad. If there is power there, then the dimmer switch must be bad.

My lights are not see properly if i dip my lights i can only see in a distance of 5mitres but if i beam mylights i can see a distance of 9 to 10 mitres its a toyota corolla ae91 please help me

Your headlights need aiming correctly. There are screws next to the headlight the achieve this . Park the car on level ground about 2 meters (6feet) from a solid wall and turn the lights on to high beam. You will see the centre of the beam measure the height from the floor to the center of the headlight and mark this on the wall directly in front of the vehicle. The center of the beam has to be adjusted to to this point.Don't worry about low as the beam for low is set by the bulb and is correctly positioned in relation to high at all times

Headlight dimmer relay location on a 1998 camry

If the headlights work, the headlight relay is good, if the high beams dont work, either both bulbs are bad, or the combination switch is bad. I dont think there is a dimmer relay.

Head lights on 1990 jeep wrangle won't work

Ckeck the headlight connections they are notorious for corroding. Check the ground connection for the lights. Pull your dimmer switch back as if you were flashing a car to pass and see if they work there. If they do you have a dimmer switch problem.
