Question about 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier Coupe
Best thing to do is have the car scanned at Auto Zone since they scan free of charge. That would indicate is the TPS is faulty or not, the other thing to is the A/C may need to be serviced. The system may have the wrong amount of R143a in the system, there should be 80 to 105psi in the system with the compressor not engaged. With the engine running and compressor engaged the low pressure readings should be 25 tp 35psi and the high should ne 200 to 350psi. Any other reading out side what i gave you will give you poor A/C performance and abnormalities with the system,. Keep me posted. be glad to help. It is normal for the A/C clutch to cycle on and off to keep it from over pressurizing the system, but if the A/C is poor in performance then you may be too low or too might on the R134a in the system or a bad A/C pressure switch, Orifice tube. Keep me posted and good luck.
