Locating the starter in a 1993 ford explorer

usually under car driver side. first disconect battery . second. take wires off starter. third.remove 2 to 3 bolts that holds the starter.now becarful their might be a shim bettwen starter and block. to install repeat process backwards. But before you take off starter get undrenithe car and tap starter with hammer or put long screwdriver bettwen starter wires see if it jumpstart. if it dosent start proced with starter removal.

it will be bolted around the bellhousing /gearbox area ,try a good battery off of another car first no jump leads .a battery may appear good with volts and all that but reserve amperage to turn the engine over is another matter
