Problem for BMW 1999 323 Series

My check engine light is on and the code is 446. 1998 BMW 323

My check engine light is on and the code is 446.
And from what I found is its a ''evaporative emission control system vent control circuit malfunction''
I need to know how important is this for a car, can i get that replaced little later or that has to be replaced immediately.
Any rough idea how much will that cost me ?

it is important for the enviroment and it can cause other engine trouble try to replace it
