You remove the gear box, dis-assemble gear box, determine what the problem is, repair and replace any broken or work parts, re-assemble gearbox, and replace into microbus.

SOURCE: VW Microbus 2.3I Transmission problems

You can try to adjust the clutch cable if it has a cable, if its hydrualyic clutch then i would say theres a problem with the clutch plate or preasure plate, but first check the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder if its low then you may have a leak, most of the time its the slave cylinder or master that leak, the master is what the clutch pedal pushes which inturn send fluid to the slave cylinder at the trany which pushes the cltuch fork,so start by seeing if its hydraulic which i think it is. then fluid check if low check for leaks.

How to check if vw 1996 microbus radiator is

You must remove the bottom rubber hose from the radiator, and also the upper hose. Extract the radiator out or simply flush the radiator in reverse direction of water flow. If the radiator is clogged you can try to clean inside (chemically) or replace it. Flush the cooling system in reverse direction of water flow. Refit all in reverse order and after that purge air out of cooling system.
