Question about 2001 Pontiac Grand Am SE
Open trunk remove two plastic clips, pull back the carpet then remove wingnuts. Next remove tail light housing you then should disconnect wiring harness. Next you have to seperate the two sections of taillight by squeezing each clip (there are 3 or 4 clips)
you may have to plug harness back in to identify bad bulb. you should look in each socket because they are known for corroding. If all looks good replace bulb test reconnect 2 part housing and reassemble the unit.

a quick test is to disconnect the sensor connector hook up and ohm meter to the sensor connector on the hub side not the engine side and spin the hub if the resistance rises and falls you're most likely ok if the resistance reads 0 or infinite you have found the bad sensor..this won't always be the case but it's a good start in the right direction

Check around all wheels to make sure the wires going to the wheel are intact and plugged in tightly. I had the same thing on my 2000 G.P. GT, in my case it was just a broken wire to one of the wheels.
