My check engine light is on and the code is 446.
And from what I found is its a ''evaporative emission control system vent control circuit malfunction''
I need to know how important is this for a car, can i get that replaced little later or that has to be replaced immediately.
Any rough idea how much will that cost me ?

These codes usually trigger the check engine light to ON if the car is fueled or fuel tank cap is removed with the engine in start position.
To delete the codes, remove the key from ignition, remove the battery negative terminal for 5 Seconds or more. Reconnect the battery terminal, start the engine, let it idle for 10 minutes. Error Code:P 0446 Description:
Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System, Vent Control - Circuit Malfunction Possible Cause:
Evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve.
Engine control module (ECM).
NOPE CANT ERASE CODES UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS FIXED OR THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT SOON WILL STAY ON. CODE PO441 - EVAPORATIVE EMISSION EVAP SYSTEM INCORRECT FLOW DETECTED.CHECK INTAKE VACUUM HOSE CONNECTIONS AT THE EVAP CANISTER PURGE VALVE.IF ALL IS GOOD.THE EVAP CANISTER PURGE VALVE COULD BE BAD. the code p0440 is evaporative emission control system malfunction and 0441 is evaporative emission control system, incorrect purge flow, and 0446 is evaporative emission control system, vent control circuit malfunction.
yes the light is because of the gas cap being gone (sets code in evaporative emissions system), replace the gas cap, disconnect the battery for five minutes and that will turn of/reset the light, make sure u have the radio code before u do this, if u don't u will have no radio after the battery is disconnected..
