Hi all , I'm driving an automatic trans Mazda 6 year 2004. How come I can switch my gear from neutral/D to REVERSE/L (first gear) without pressing the safety lock button on the gear knob? The shift lock...

You should definitely have to push th button to get from forward to reverse. If not the gate at the base of shifter has broken and will need to be replaced

The button on the gearshift doesn't respond, and I can't get the car out of park. It's a '91 automatic. Engine is running fine.

The mechanical lock mechanism on the shifter is probably worn out, I had one give out on me and I had to have it welded, You can take the boot off if it is on the floor, and see what's going on. There are a couple of solenoids on there for safety stuff, but the button lock is just a mechanical lock. Check it out.

Need a heater core diagram for a 91 mazda b2200

The only thing to do is get a diagram from the MAZDA dealer parts dept. "A few parts fell out" is way to vague to help you.

91' Mazda 929 Troubles.... Please help!

please don't take this wrong but it has happened it is possible your stalling and not starting issue are totally unrelated is it possible that when the car stalled you forgot to put the car back in park being in the middle of traffic and all and after pushing it you just automaticly put it in park out of habit and the car restarted (your car is equiped with a safety switch that prevents starting in any position other than park or neutral) as far as the stalling has this been an issue before or since possibly bad gas or need of tune up issue hard too say without more information hope this was helpful
