I have a 1999 dodge neon . the engine will run fine and then suddenly cuts out as if someone turned off the key.and will not restart even after sitting for hours The garage even did a tuneup I have had the garage replace the ignition relay, ignition fuse and check the fuel presure and battery, all are okay

Try changing the fuel filter...A combination fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator is used on all gas powered engines. It is located on the top of the fuel pump module...
Check the engine for compression. Your head gasket may be shot. I have a 97 that had a similar problem, and we did the head gasket, car runs fine now. Prior to doing the gasket mine wouldn't start at all.
