SOURCE: instrument panel cluster gauges and odometer has stopped working

I had all my analog instrument panel gauges stop working after they did the state emissions test. I found the proper fuse in the fuse block located under the hood. Simply unplugged the fuse, noticed it was still good, and plugged the same fuse (10A) back in and all the gauges started working again. Guess it needed a reset atfer they plugged in for the emissions.

SOURCE: Instrument cluster not working

if its not a fuse. try a relay. itll be under the hood in a little box. if thats not it than it could be a short in the wiring.check your running lights as well. most of the time they are ran on the same fuse so if one doesnt work the other one probably wont. also if you have recently replaced your stereo. check over the wiring on it because something could have got loose.

On a 2004 chevy tahoe. Once the instrument cluster wire clip is detached and new bulbs are soldered on the cluster. Does the instrument cluster have to be reprogrammed ?

Shouldn't need reprogramming. I removed the cluster from my 04 Silverado and sent it in for repair and replacement of the bulbs. It was out of my truck for 2 weeks. When I got it back everything worked just fine, no problems at all.

I just want to know what bulbs I need to replace all of the interior lights in the dash board of my 2003 Chevy Tahoe, 2WD 4.8l with tow package. O'reily's says PC195 for all, but is that for every dash...

G,man, can't help myself:400 miles! But u got internet and fedex hopefully.
General advice:dashboard bulbs are all equal in form may have different powers (can be colour coded),so ceck the bulbs first.
Dome and others places are different, ceck bulbs in place.
Internet orders (like ebay) may provide cheapper material (+more info,u must digg).
Doubt the dash replace will be best choice, tricky bussines, besides it will show different millage...
Cheers,hope u deal it,let the people know.

I have a 2007 chevy tahoe and the "PRNDL" is completly gone and the Odometer is barely visable...Any ideas on how to fix this?

{: ) Check the ISLAMPS fuse 10amp at the IP fuseblock. If okay, check the operation of the instrument panel brightness control switch. It is that small protruded knob beside the main headlight switch. If all instrument (dashboard) backlightings respond normally as you adjust the intensity, and these two you mentioned are the only issues, you may need to replace the IP cluster. It will be replaced with a later model cluster and will need to be programmed.

Instrument panel quit what next

Hi,
Check fuses, 1st.

The clusters do 'go bad'. Look online for a Chevy/GMC Tahoe/Sierra/Yukon forum for someone who's already replaced this.

Fuel gauge bouncing on 2000 chevy tahoe where is fuel pump relay

I had previously replaced the failing fuel pump on my '98 K2500 when it went out entirely. I was ready to replace my 2000 K3500's fuel gauge as it was acting up.
When I started the engine, the gauge would bounce from the middle to way past full then back. It would also jump sporadically while driving on level ground.
I checked the electrical connections at the tank and made sure the frame ground strap located nearby was making good contact. Nothing changed until I removed the instrument panel and cleaned the connections on the back. The fuel gauge seems to be operating correctly now.
There are videos on YouTube that show how to remove the instrument cluster if in doubt. Mine dash has a pop-in plastic bezel followed by 4 screws to hold the cluster in place. It took about a half hour to inspect & clean the dash connection vs. $250 to replace the pump/sending unit combo. Hope this helps.
