Radio has no sound. dsiplay works. onstar phone

I had the same problem with my 04 Suburban, sound and then no sound from anything (radio, on star, door chime, etc). The dealership thought it was the radio, so they put a new radio in. A day later the same problem. It turned out to be the amplifier under the center console. Everything is working with no problem for over a year.

No sound out of speakers in my 2004 surburban bose system

This means your amplifier needs to be replaced considering you already had cd player replaced. Verify power and grounds are good at amp and then replace. Thanks

NO sound from radio being on

cable from radio going to speakers loose or disconnected, also the radio inside has a fuse that might be blown, not allowing the sound to come out

Radio doesn't work

Sounds like an internal radio problem possibly a diode or power supply transistor.

Alternator won't charge consistently on 1988 GMC suburban

hi there
it sounds like you have a bad diode in the alternator

and since the voltage regulator is internal you will have to replace it or take it out to get tested
thanks you
