I would check if it is in the gas tank on that model. you can go to your local parts store and they should be able to inform you of this.

Tensioner location on 97 chrysler sebring 2.5L 6 cyl

The tensioner pulley looks like an idler pulley, only with an adjusting bolt protruding out about 2 inches from just behind the pulley. Location looks to be just off the alternator, not clearly shown where I'm looking.
To loosen belt, you loosen the tensioner pulley nut, and then turn the adjusting bolt in to relieve tension. When putting the belt back on, adjust tension with adjustment bolt, then tighten the pulley nut. This is for Sebring Coupe, Convertible is different. Good luck.

I have a 1999 chrysler sebring coupe with a 2.5 v6 engine. My problem is the car idles rough and misses at low rpm.But it runs good on the road no problems. When i let off the gas like going down a hill or...

first of all, a 2.5 is a 4 cyl.. I noticed you stated it was a 6 cylinder, 6 cyl. are 3.0. it is important to know if it is a 4 or 6 cyl to correct this type of problem. this problem is either carburetor related or something the fuel line. try losening the gas cap and the drive to see if this corrects problem. could be vapor locked......mike

Where is the fuel filter for the 2007 chrysler sebring 6 cylinder / 2.7, located?

i beleive the fuel filter is above the fuel tank and the tank will have to be lowered to gain enough access to replace it.

I have 2 codes showing on my 2004 chrysler sebring.? P2096 AND p0137. what do they mean and how do I know what parts to get to fix the problem.

P0137 O2 Sensor Bank 1, Sensor 2 Voltage Low
P2096 Down Stream Fuel System Bank 1, Sensor 2 Lean

There are 3 possible engines in your vehicle, a 2.4L 4-cyl, a 2.7L V-6, and a 3.0L V-6. If your car has a 4-cyl then there is only one downstream O2 sensor. This is where you need to start the diagnosis for code P0137.
While it would be nice to assume that the sensor is faulty, the sensor wiring between sensor and PCM could be the problem as well.
That said, you are looking for a DOWNSTREAM OXYGEN SENSOR. I strongly advise that the replacement be OEM compatable. Avoid Universal Replacement types that use **** connectors to make them work.
Good Luck!

Where is the fuel filter located on a 2004 Chrysler Sebring sedan?

Some of the Sebrings have two filters(one is called a sock). The sock(which all sebrings have) is located in the fuel tank itself on the pump module. If this model is the JXI then the external filter is located on the belly of the car between the tank and drivers rear seat. I hope I could help!!!

Where is the fuel filter located on a 2004 Sebring

There is not inline fuel filter on a 2004 Sebring. The only filter on it is the one on the fuel pump and the only way to change that is to replace the fuel pump. $175 at autozone. Ridiculous I know!!

How much should it cost to replace a fuel pump on a 2004 chrysler sebring 6 cyl convertible? I was told at the parts store the filter is inside the pump. Is this correct? thanks

Yes thats correct. It costs whatever a shop will charge, call around and get 3 estimates using quality parts, not parts from a cheap parts chain store.
