Check your tranmission oil level , if ok , you might need to replace oil and filter , else you have a mechanical problem in the transmission

Merc clk 1999 fault

on most cars, you need to change the neutral safety switch. this car has a neutral parking position sensor, you can find it for v6 not v8, it also fits a saab 9-3. it is the same thing, a different style. however, check the transmission fluid level and troublecodes for p07xxs. reset the code and use the transmission dipstick by dorman add lucas auto trans fluid, not stop slip to the fill line. most of the time it's not the solenoid, but the auto trans plate, overfilling the fluid can cause it to trigger a check engine light, and the fluid leaking onto it can cause it to be permanently damaged, it's more than $400 for the part. lucas works in the 722.xx transmissions, most , all, clks 99-2002, just make sure the tranny model isn't a 238. i like it better than atf 134. However, these parts are very heat sensitive. fill the trans fluid, reset the troublecodes, do a general motos drive cycle from obdii.com if it doesn't drive good after four times, change the neutral safety switch. :)

Fix for shudder and loss of power in transmission of 1999 lincoln towncar at appx 45 mph, transmission will shudder and sometimes start losing power. i can then pull over and take out of drive and then to...

I would have to agree that the shift lock acculater is going bad, Because if the transmission is shifting OK when it is in gear then the transmission is OK, But if you want to keep it that way you can change the trans fluid and filter and gasket, After doing that add a bottle of Prolong transmission treatment use the PROLONG TRANSMISSION ONLY itg can be bought at PEP BOYS or some other auto parts store's do not use any other type of treatment because the PROLONG is the best it treats the parts and the metal not the fluid, I put it in a ford LTD trans with over 200,000 miles on it and the trans is still working fine and now it has 278,899 miles on it.but also check the fuses and the locking system

Have the fault codes read. Replace faulty items. Use only genuine items as non-genuine replacement are not always compatible with the OEM fitted CPU units. I suspect servo solenoid faults. Have a pressure test done on the gear box

2003 ford transit turbo manual gearbox, stuck in 2nd gear, cant start

does the clutch push normally or is the linkage broken not disengaging clutch, and then does shifter move around or locked and wont move, loose linkage in shifter or gears are jammed inside transmission and something went, if shifter wont move at all then trans is jammed inside and needs repair.

Wont go into reverse but drives just fine in all the other gears

no reverse is a symptom of a failed transmission reverse clutch band, to replace this band requires the trans be overhauled.

Probably not but you can try to replace trans. filter and fluid to see if that helps.

Reverse Gear is Sluggish and makes noise.

I would say you should re check if you have 2nd and 4th. If not you need to have the sun shell replaced in the transmission. this is a comon problem. I hope this helps.
