SOURCE: remove the camshaft position sensor from my 1999 jeepcherokee

The Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP) on the 4.7L V - 8 engine is bolted to the front side of the right cylinder head. Disconnect the sensors connector. Take out the bolt that holds the sensor in place. Lightly pry out the sensor being careful not to break it. Clean out the hole and install the new sensor( put a little oil on the new sensors o-ring to help installation).

SOURCE: Where is the camshaft sensor located on my 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee

If you still have a cap rotor and ignition wires, it's inside the distributor. If not, it is the part where the distributor used to be (center rear of the engine behind the intake manifold)

Where is the throttle position sensor in my 1995 jeep grand Cherokee 6 cylinder

On the throttle. Under the hood, you will see the air filter plenum going to the throttle. On the throttle you will see cables coming from the firewall connecting to the throttle linkage. Just opposite of that linkage is the throttle position sensor(TPS). two screws/bolts hold it on.

Where is the throttle positions sensor located

The Throttle Position Sensor, or TPS is connected to the throttle shaft on the throttle body.

Fig. 2: Disengage the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) wiring harness connector

According with the Grand Cherokee Repair Manual, check this removal & installation procedure...
(see Figures 5 and 6)
  1. Remove the air intake tube at the throttle body.
  2. Disengage the TPS wiring connector and remove the two mounting screws.
  3. Carefully remove the TPS from the throttle body.
To install:
  1. The throttle shaft end has a tang that can be fitted into the TPS two different ways. Only one of the installed positions is correct. When correctly positioned, the TPS can be rotated a few degrees. To determine correct positioning, place the TPS onto the throttle body with the throttle shaft tang on one side of the TPS socket. Verify that the TPS can be rotated. If the TPS cannot be rotated, place the TPS on the throttle body with the throttle shaft tang on the other side.
  2. Tighten the two TPS mounting bolts to 60 inch lbs. (7 Nm) and engage the wiring connector.
  3. Manually operate the throttle and check for any binding.
  4. Install the air intake tube.

Diagram throttle position sensor for jeep grand cherokee limited 2004

Take the Intake Air Hose off. This goes from the Air Filter to the Throttle Housing. When you see the Throttle Gate draw a horizontal line across the center - this should be the the Throttle Gate Pivot Arm. The Throttle Position Sensor is lined up with this Pivot Arm. It should be the only sensor lined-up with this. There should be a Idle Air Sensor that is located above this, but this is not lined-up to the Throttle Gate Pivot Arm.
