My ABS/Brake light in dashboard is on .

I didn't have that issue,but I had a 1992 dakota with
rear abs only & I just unplugged the module under the dash

I'm all for diagnosing everything & having it factory stock & working

But you don't need abs on a 4x4 that old & the rear hydraulic
abs unit ,gets so rusty that it is sad.

If you ever replace rusted brake tubing, remove it

They don't check that in inspection

Replace left front wheel bearing on 2002 yukon 4x4 abs

Remove the axle nut. Put a punch in the fins of the rotor to keep the hub from spinning. Remove the caliper and the rotor. Unplu the abs harness. Remove the three bolts that hold the hub to the knuckle. Remove the hub/bearing from the knuckle. Reverse to install. Make sure you torque the three bolts that hold the bearing to the knuckle and the axle nut to the correct torques spec. Failure to do so will cause premature bearing failure. Also use a good quality bearing. SKF is a good brand. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using FixYa.com!

Hi...your problem might be coming from your front wheel bearing hubs. They are know to cause this problem as they wear out and eventually have to be replaced.

97 chevy blazer what is the torque for front disc wheel bearing? I replaced front rotor and now abs light is on?

ABS is electronic, most likely you have a defective wheel speed sensor, there is one at each wheel.

How to replace a front wheel bearing on 1996 Nissan Pathfinder 4x4

The wheel, & brake componets will have to be removed to get to the bearing assembly. Then the center nut and the 4 mounting hub bolts will need to come off. take note of disconnecting the ABS wiring plug to the sensor also

How to determine if 97 Ram 1500 has 2- or 4- 2wheel brakes? Need info for wheel bearing replacement.

on 1997 dodge ram 1500s you can look at the back of the front brakes and if you do have 4wheel abs you will have a brake line and an electrical line running tto the brake caliper. you can also look at the master cylinder, on the right side of the power brake booster (if youre looking from the front of the truck) there will be a metal brake distribution block if it has 2 lines running out of it you have 2 wheel abs...4 lines means 4 wheel abs

Its a 2005 dodge ram truck how do i find out if i have 2 or 4 wheel abs we need to replace the wheel bearing we don't know how to find out if we have 2 or 4 wheel abs we just got the jtruck and did not...

Most have only rear abs. You can remove a front wheel & on the inside of the half shaft, just behind the rotor you'll see a sensor & the outer part of the cv joint will be ribbed. You can also call the dealer or auto parts store with the VIN number & that will tell you as well.

How do I replace the driver front wheel bearing on a 2001 dakota

If it is 4X4 you will need to remove your hub assembly. Then If, 2 wheel drive you will need to remove your brake assembly. The dust cover to get access to axle nut. Remove the cotter pin, then the nut. Be careful of the ABS connection on the back of your hub. Replace bearings, races and the seal. Let me know if you need to know how to load your bearings and I’ll go into more detail.
