What the air ride switch in a 1998 ford explorer, should it be on or off and where is it located? we were told that might be the reason why it's not starting

Remove the right kick panel.thats where the air suspension located.

    the switch should be on while vechicle is turn it off only when. raise the vechicle or working on the suspension.if air ride system not working check the fuse and relay.also the electrical connector.

Where is my air ride switch on 1998 explorer how do i turn it on

behind the panel in trunk (left side) just open it and look far back and low its a big on/off switch near the "jack" ;-)

Its a 98 Ford Expedtion. The back is riding really low all of a sudden, what does that mean? I was also told it may have to do with some ''air bag'' whatever that means. Please help,...thank you

The air ride suspension has some kind of fault in it. I had a similar problem with mine, but I just used a rubber tire patch once i located the hole.

look for a broken plastic vacuum line under hood, vacuum is what controls the heater controls inside the car

96 ford explorer feels every bump and crack in the road

it might be the tire pressure or the shocks. if the pressure is too high it can feel that way. it could also be the suspension.
