How do i get rear manual window winder off of my peugeot 206 52 plate

The front and rear license plate mounting brackets work nicely for strapping on a small child...but seriously refer to the instructional video in the link to mount a child safety seat in a car with or without LATCH points. The Peugeot 406 was required to have LATCH mounting connectors effective in 1999 in the US and Canada. The location of the mounting connectors should be detailed in your owners manual.

readjust the channels that the window slides in
there is too much clearance and as the window is moving up , it is jamming in the channel

If the front windows are power, the rears will be the same and someone has removed the switches. If the front windows are manual, the rear windows will be the same and someone has removed the handles

Undo the bolts around the window winder handle and any other bolts holding the winder, make sure the glass does not fall and brake, then slide the winder out,

remove two screws from armrest (usually covered by small plastic insert) prise out trim from door handle, gently ease panel out from bottom and slip upwards to release from window, once loose if car has electric windows disconnect wires.

Or the linkage may need adjusting.
There are three linkages The main one going to the back of the door, the linkage from the inner handle to the mechanism at the front of the door and the one going from the outside handle to the mechanism. As far as I can tell only the last one has an adjustment. The linkage ends in a thread that fits into a clip (see photo). Just ease the thread out of the clip with a screwdriver and clip it back in in a different place so you take up the slack. This worked for me :-)


As to taking the door card off. There are three torx 20 screws, two along the bottom and one behind the ashtray. The window winder and inner handle trim just pull off, as does the slide-up-and-down locking knob which takes a good hard pull to get it off. Otherwise, just ping out the clips and lift upwards, though it doesn't just 'lift' as you have to fiddle it out from the trim at the front of the window which you don't have to take out. It might be easier if you did take it out but I could work out how to do that.

Look all over trim & remove any visible screws, Check behind inner door handle cover plate, Undo arm rests etc... Window winder will have to come off if manual winder (there is a special tool you can use for this) Gently prise the trim starting from the bottom up. Gentle is the key If it doesn't want to go something is still holding it

should be screws behind rear door handle u have to take cover of screws will be behind u also need to remove the winder 4 window if manual and not electric the panel itself will be held on with poppers just grab bottom of panel and pull hard then work yuor way up sides once you have unclicked poppers from bottom and side of panel grab panel and push upwards as most weather strips are attached to the panel .

am sure you have not changed the winder since you bought the car.for the first time it is alway difficult getting it out except those that are skilled.however, there is a clip that makes it so firm.
