Question about 1991 Honda Accord
My 1992 honda will not start on a hot day. all starting components work fine. engine simply will not start. engine starts well after sun goes down and temperature drops. problem can usually be prevented by parking in the shade.
a recommended solution will be appreciated.
if possible also send solution to email@example.com
This is a very commun problem on honda and accura...
The problem is the Main Relay. This is the result of the poor solder application from factory.
The solution desolder the inadequate terminals and the faulty terminals and resolder them.
Everething is well explained on this site...www.techauto.awardspace.com/mainrelay.html

A module under the dash that gets hot due to the sun. I don't remember what it is called.

Sounds like the main relay. Solders inside it crack over time. When it gets hot, they expand and separate which in turn interrupts the signals being sent. I've had it happen to me too on my Legend. The site link below even has a Do It Yourself pictorial. Covers Hondas too.

Yes. Confirm the problem is the main relay located under the dashboard. Once you change it, it'll be okay.
