SOURCE: How to replace 2004 Hyundai Elantra starter

First, disconnect the battery. Then the only part that needs to be removed to access the starter is the rubber air plenum boot between the throttle body and the air filter housing. This allows enough room to get an arm in there to access the 14mm bolts that attach the starter to the transmission. After removing the bolts, the starter can be removed from underneath the car. lower it down as much as possible, and unbolt the power cable. You may have to twist and turn it a bit to get around the support between the engine block and intake manifold, but it will come out.

SOURCE: what is meaning p1529 on my elantra

P1529 means the TCM (transmission control module) has requested that the ECM (engine control module) turn on the check engine lamp. All I can tell you based on this information is that the TCM has seen something abnormal. To find out what abnormal condition the TCM saw, you'd need to retrieve the DTCs (diagnostic trouble codes) from the TCM. The most frequent culprit is either the input or output speed sensor, but there's no way to know whether they may be the issue without the TCM DTCs

I have a 1997 Hyundai elantra gls..it cranks but wont start sometimes, i usually have to accelarate (give it gas)for it to start and there was misfire on the spark plugs, what gives?

Fist off no amount of giving gas to a fuel injected system helps it start. What you are describing sounds like the crank shaft sensor is bad. That would cause misfire and then no start later.

My daughter has a 96' hyundai Elantra, It died as she let off to get off the highway, It cranks but won't start. there's a very strong gas odor coming from the intake, checked timing belt, and crankshafts,...

If your getting fuel which it sounds as though you are, check to see if your getting spark to the plugs. Sounds like an ignition system issue. Not sure about specifics on Hyundai but could be distributor cap, rotor, distributor, crank or cam shaft sensors.
