Does it shut off when you are off the gas coming to a stop? Or when you are on the throttle, etc?

Car shaking on start-up... slight temperature problem

Could be plug fouling out from leaky fuel injector flooding engine when you shut it down, then clears after running some, however, running hot is not a good sign and could point to head gasket leak. Many other possibilities too, but I would start with examination of spark plugs.

My Toyota Starlet is demon possessed!

Not without trying to narrow down the choices.
If it shuts off like you turned the key its probably something electrical like a relay or the coil.
But you would really need to troubleshoot it when it happens to narrow it down.

1997 Chrysler Voyager 3.3 LS When driving along the engine will die. It will turn over when I try to restart it but doesn't fire up. I have sat locking and unlocking the car and some times it starts up...

No one can give you a easy "cure" for your problem. Reason for that is when diagnosing, you need to do a code scan first to see if anything in the engine management system has recorded a malfunction.
From what you said though, right after the engine shuts down, the first thing I'd check is if the fuel pump runs. (it's inside the fuel tank) Right after it stalls, turn the key on and listen for the pump. If you don't hear it, there is a good chance that it is failing. When that happens, the pump will run well when cold and eventually overheats and binds. Once it cools down it works again. So, the locking and unlocking may just be "busy work" while you are waiting for the pump to cool down.
Pump problems usually won't show up on a computer scan.

may check or have the dealer check for a crack in the housing for the fuel filter have seen it a few times specifically in heat cause every thing expands more it will start sucking air and lose pressure

Intermittent shut down of Jaguar XJR while running

The fault is intermittent - strikes without warning - and I guess if there are no error codes - so the fault is beyond the reach of the computer sensors - change your high tension coil.

Car dies going down the highway after about 20 miles then starts back and dies again some times it starts right away sometimes after 5/6 tries always restarts???? no code some times when it starts dieing...

Had this happen with a Honda Accord: carb icing.
You do not have a carb.
Had this happen with a newer Honda, bad ignition switch. It was intermittent. $24 and one hour fixed it.
Good luck

2000 grand cherokee just dies going down the road. no warning no fault codes.what are the possible causes

no stumbling first? sounds ignition related check all the plug ins on ign system I assume it always starts right back up ok? sounds like either crank or cam sensor,if I had to guess it would be crank first but next time it dies try restarting right away without shutting key off first and let the engine crank for about 30-40 sec if it don;t start it should set a dtc which will tell you either crank or cam sensor but it will start happening more often until one day it just wont restart again.

'87 Silverado,5.7, Shuts down while driving

It sounds like you have a clogged fuel filter or the fuel pump maybe weak. I would change the fuel filter first and see what happens. Or you are having a distributer problem with the coil. Also check for a wire grounding out around the engine.
