No power to the starter soleniod

Check starter relay & power and grounds @ relay. Could also be bad key, or power train control module. Need more info.

Starter clicks but dont turn motor over

If the starter clicks, the relay has already done its job. Either the battery, the cables, or the starter. If it's a low battery, then you need to check your charging system.

My son has had three starters replaced in the last year in his 2004 Ford Taurus. I would not think that is the problem. His car will not start today. Could it be he needs another starter, numbe four, or...

you need to test the ignition wire on the solenoid the small one when you turn the key to start the car if the test light lights and the starter does not kick in yes its # 4 while holding the key in start position bang on the starter with a hammer it might start its a common problem with fords bad starter rebuilds and a lot of heat under the car but if you have no test light lit while turning the key then you have another problem like ignition switch or nuetral safety switch hope this helps
