Question about 2001 Volkswagen Jetta TDI

I have a Volkswagen TDI 1.9L - diagonistic fault shown on OBD2 tool is P0715 - Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction Please advise how I can get this fixed ?

That code also reads as: Transmission Input Speed Sensor (G182): Circuit Malfunction

The sensor is located inside the transmission. Not exactly a DIY type of job...

    I did a little more research. Apparently, the sensor is located on top of the transmission - not inside of it. I would imagine it wouldn't take more than an hours worth of labor to fix. -I'm guessing though.
    It's possible that it could either be the sensor itself or the wiring harness.

P0715 Mitsubishi Input Turbine Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction - Wiring problem ! Check for 5 volts on the white an violet wire at the input speed sensor . Check for b+ voltage on the black / with white stripe . The last wire is low reference (ground inside the PCM ) Then check continuity Of same wires from PCM connector B-21, Pins 111 -white with violet stripe ,pin 113 brown . Check for open between PCM an the input speed sensor
