First check to see if the steering wheel is up against the lock. That would cause the key to be almost impossible to turn. Give the steering wheel a push or pull in the direction that allows it to go. Go from there.

Have you checked to confirm that the problem is not with your battery connections? The greatest percentage of no-starts is a loose or corroded clamp at the battery. The electrical draw of the starter motor is pretty heavy, so it's very important to peridically remove and clean the battery connections with a wire brush, and make sure the clamps are on tight, after the cleaning.
