Check bulbs and where it fits, sometimes there is rust, get a sand paper and clean them.If that does not solve the problem then check wiring connection to back of lights..Look for any loose wire or hanging out wire.If that does not solve then get a meter and test for voltage reading when brake is pressed. If you do get a voltage reading then problem is around here with bulbs or rust or loose wire.If you don't get any reading check continuity between back of indicators to the brake switch at front. You will again require a meter. If this fails then this is your problem, you got a snapped wire somewhere. Now if there is god continuity which means there wire are fine and connects both end perfectly then next step is the brake switch, check if there is any voltage reading coming to it.Also test the switch with meter to see if when pressed it is really allowing a close circuit. Also check ground connection to the brakes..I think this should solve your problem now.

No lbrake lights, no lights on dash, no heat but blower works, no wipers, no signal lights, no front lights, no inside lights, would it be multiple fuses?

I would check all fuses regarding these , they make look intact but check the legs of fuses sometimes they get like a brownish coating on them that will cause them to play up, either wipe legs down with bit of sandpaper or replace with new. Hope you sort it.

2006 brake light will not go out

Light gets power from brake light switch/.May be switch got shorted an brake light getting non-stop power causing it not to turn OFF brake light.

Get the brake light switch checked. Check volt at brake light switch.

It can be faulty brake light switch causing the problem or its wiring short for switch.

I have a 2000 chevy 2500 and the tail lights, tag lights and brake lights have stopped working, I checked the bulbs and they are good, fuses are good. Have not replaced the brake relay under the hood. Do I...

check for power at the wires going intop the tail lights, real common that the circuit board is bad, but unlikely both at the same time. The tag, tail lights and brakes are 2 different systems. Do the turn signals work normally? if so the wiring from the turn signal switch to the brake lights is GOOD. the stop light switch had\s a ORANGE wire that should have 12V if not ck STOP LPS fuse, when brake pedal is depressed, the WHITE wire is 12V (at the stop light switch) if that is OK, the turn signal switch COULD be bad. The wiring harness plug is near the back left under the tailgate, see if that is disconnected?

Brake Lights do not work and hazard button is stuck

I could not tell you how many times people have brought their cars into my shop and tell me that they had already checked all fues and they are OK, then I check the car and find a blown fuse or a fuse that is completely missing.

Your dash (Instrument Cluster) illumination lights are powered by the "PARK LP" fuse in the underhood fuse panel - it is fuse number 37 and should be a 20 Amp fuse. If this fuse is blown, your Park lights on the exterior of the car will also not be working. If they are working and your dash lights are not, then the problem is probably in your headlamp switch.

Your Brake lights are powered by the "STOP LAMP" fuse in the instrument panel (IP) fuse block it is a 15 Amp fuse.

Your Hazzard lights are powered by the "HAZZARD" fuse in the (IP) also a 15 Ap fuse.

If both of these fuses are good, then the most likely problem with your brake and hazzard lamps is the multifunction (Turn Signal) switch.

What any of the above has to do with replacing your window regulators remains a mystery.

Brake lighs stop working

Does the 3rd brake lamp illuminate? If so then your problem is multifunction switch. If it doesn't do the following checks.
Check for power to and thru the brake lamp switch itself. If you do not have power to the switch check fuse no. 10(20 amp) in the interior fuse panel. If you have power to the switch then depress brake pedal and make sure you have power thru the switch. If this is ok the check Fuse 22(20amp) with brake applied..

2003 silverado 1500 v-6 brake lights dont work

ljones, Did you check the "VEH stop" fuse in the left side instrument panel fuse box. There are 3 stop light fuses, 1 for all the stop lights located in the under hood fuse box. 2 in the left side IP fuse box. 1 for the upper stop light and 1 for the lower stop lights. The fuse box in the IP is where the upper and lower stop lights split. Let me know.
