SOURCE: door panel removal
The book says 1. remove panel pull strap 2. remove door handle bezel 3. on 1995-2001 models, remove power accesory panel and trim panel upper extension. 4. remove armrest screws and pad. 5. remove window handle,I guess if not power windows.
KD makes a tool to go in between door panel and door to pop the door clips loose. KD 3705
You will also have to have a window crank tool if it is manual window. KD431
Hope that will help.

SOURCE: 1990 trofeo door panel removal
You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

The door panels are held on with plastic clips. Chances are a few of the clips will break, but they are not expensive or hard to replace. You can buy a tool from one of your local parts store that slides under the head of the retainer and helps to remove it, but many people do not use them. There are several retainers around the edge of the panel.

just pop out the triangle piece from the top at the top front of the door panel with a flat head screwdriver. Then simply pop out the door lock cover from the aft side and the door handle cover from the aft side as well. Then pop up your cap containing the auto door locks and windows and disconnect the cannon plugs. Then just remove 2 screws (1 from under the door lock/window cap and one just insde the door handle itself. You'll then life up and towards you to remove the panel. Don't pull it too far out because you'll still need to disconnect the speaker cannon plug and pull out the door open light at the bottom aft of the panel. You can then set the door panel off to the side.
