Brake lights won't turn off.

Brake pedal stays depressed, I have to pull it out so that the lights will turn off. Brakes seem to be working fine though.

Brake pedal depresses fine and brakes engage, but pedal doesn't come all the way up and the brake stays engaged unless the pedal is pulled up.

Engine revs but no acceleration

Clutch plate and pressure plate seem to be too weak to pull the car. Or one of the CV joints is detached from the gear box. To test the clutch plate, park the car on flat surface. Pull the hand brake up, start the car, depress the foot brake pedal, depress the clutch pedal, put the car in 1st gear, press the gas pedal and leave the clutch pedal at once, while keeping the brake pedal depressed.
Follow one of the two following statements:
1. Engine does not shut down and remain start. (Clutch plate, pressure plate and clutch bearing defective - Replace all as a set)
2. Engine shuts down. (Clutch system is OK and does not require any repair).

It can be issue with master cylinder or the problem is there is still some air there in the system that has to be bleed. Or else the parts replaced are not aligned properly/.I suggest everything back.

I have a 1998 chevy c1500 and all three of my brake lights stay on and i have already replaced the switch with a new one

Most brake light switches have a small nib or piston/pushrod which is depressed by the pedal when the pedal returns. Many pedals are fitted with a metal plate and sometimes a plastic bung, which connects with the brake switch's pushrod. If this pushrod isn't being pushed in when the pedal returns, then the brakes are going to stay on. Check this operation carefully and please report.

My brake lights stay on until I begin to press the brakes my car. When I press the brakes on my car, the brake light won't turn on and won't turn back on. Does this mean I need to replace my brake...

on your brake pedal yuo have a switch to turn off the brake lights when not in use and when depressed turns on yuor brake lights. i would suggest either trying to adjust them on the pedal and if not replace the switch.

Have a 90 dodge dakota bad booster, i changed the brake booster and bled master cylinder. still need to assemble the drum brakes but the brake light is staying on. i read up and pushed the brake light...

You sure you have the correct booster
Or use the same rod
You should not have to bleed anything, you
didn't open the brake system
Now you need to bleed all 4 corners, never
the master,that is a myth.

Ever consider the engine has to be running for
the booster (vacuum remember) to work,
and you can not bleed the brakes without
the engine running as you have to have
someone push the brake pedal thus the booster

the rear brakes shouldn't be apart if your pumping
the pedal, now you screwed up the brake switch position

2oo2 dodge intrepid my brake lights stay on when the ignition is off

I would investigate the pedal operated brake light switch which is probably faulty.

Brakes lights will always operate when the ignition is off if you depress the brake pedal. They will cancel when the pedal is released but only if the switch is operating properly. Faulty brake light switches are not uncommon on 10 year old US built vehicles.
