Check the wiring harness for the door cable. 2004, 05, and 06s had the same issues. Over time, the dorr may catch the cable in the track, giving a slight yank, or moisture gets into the harness fouling the conection.

Why does my 2006 toyota sienna power sliding door not close properly

Could be resistance in one of the tracks, or the motor.
If the motor hits a resistance the door opens in case the resistance is a human.

Passenger side power sliding door stops part way

Had the same problem on ours. It stopped about 6 inches away from being closed. I could advance it and press the button, and it worked. About two weeks later it stopped working altogether. I had a black wire that was cut through. Trace the wires inside the black plastic wire mold track that looks like a tank tread. You might be able to see the cut. There are about 5-6 wires inside the track. Undo the wiring harness where the wire mold attaches to the sliding door gear. If you get a lighted 12vDC pencil tester (~$5), press the door button so it opens, and poke one of the wires in the wiring harness. If it lights, the connection is still fine. If it doesn't light work a little further back until the light comes back on, and some point in between is the cut. Using a flat head screwdriver, you can snap off the links of the wire track mold. They just snap back on with a firm grip.I resoldered the wires and some electrical tape.

I realized that when it was stopping part way the ends of the wires just happened to touch and allowed it to move, but when the door got so far the wire track had to bend separating the connection. The repair has been working for about 4-5months now.

2002 Honda Odyssey: sliding door jolts/reopens when closing

Please check the aft track roller assembly. It is easiest to inspect from the rear of the van looking forward when the door is open. You'll see the rear hinge assembly clearly. The track rollers cannot be seen but you can pull outboard on the rear edge of the door--the door should not move outboard more than 1/8 of an inch. If it moves out more than this or feels sloppy, suspect damaged/missing track rollers. This will cause the hinge to chatter in the track and "jolt". It will also cause the door to misalign during the close phase preventing the close motor from properly engaging.
Replacing this part is no easy task but doable if you are good with cars. Check back here for more details if you want to try it, otherwise get a competent mechanic or the Honda dealership to do it.

sounds like the door sensor switch is malfunctioning and when almost closed it reacts like it is blocked (such and kid in way) and opens for safety. try flushing trach with hose and try again, if not u need a good repair manual such as chiltons($25 most parts stores ) or see mechanic

Passenger window on 94 lumina van

If all the other windows work when the passenger window won't move (during the 5 min period), then the passenger side motor is bad. If the motor pulls too much amperage, the circuit breaker that is built into the motor will trip, until it cools down.

could be a partially broken wire in the wiring harness that runs in the door track. the wires are inside what looks like a plastic chain that allows it to move with the door and have seen them partially break not allowing power to flow the whole time
