What could cause a1991 suzuki samurai to have no fire from a new coil?

no spark from coil directly?
is the cam turning, is the dizzy rotor spinning. ????

check all fuses first. Ig-coil, FI and dome.
then using diagnostic jumper wire or fuse, (as approp)
crank engine look for code 41 o 42.!!!

USA cars , answers only
our cars are all EFI that year.
no engine swaps to Suzuki G16A/B sidekick or tracker engines.!
1: engine cranks
2: no spark
3: The ECu makes spark
the CMP sensor in the DIzzy , (never fails if rotor turns, does rotor turn, if not cam belt igored and now snapped.)
the cam turns. the CMP fires. the ECU takes this CMP signal
and fires the ignitor next to coil and the coil charges, and release and BAM spark.

that is it.
the ECU will tell you when the CMP dies or the Ignitor fails
why not ask it.
1: key on
2: diagnostic jumper in place (flashes 12s for ok)
3: crank engine,for 5sec, not 1 ,not 2.
3: release key not off.
4: see code 41, or 42, BINGO !@!!!!

Toyota pickup 94 model cant get spark plugs 2 fire replaced pickup coil igniter rotor buton wires cap coil fires plugs wont

I had to replace the magnetic pick-up sensor on the side of the distributor that tells the coil when to fire on my 86 truck. It was $80 and slips onto the distributor held on by the cap.

No spark to plugs but i do have fire from the coil to the distributor

Bad plug wires, distributor cap, or rotor. Pull the cap if the contact points on the rotor or the cap look rusty they need to be replaced. If not try replacing the wires.

I have a suzuki escudo(sidekick) 1993 and have no spark

If its not the igniter, maybe you forgot to time the engine (timing marks will align at #4 firing poition, not at #1) when you remove the cam shaft. If the engine is not properly timed during assembly, it will not surely fire.

No power to the spark plugs

Check first the wire connections to your ignition unit. Are they properly plugged? If all wires are good, try to measure the voltage from one of the wires to the ignition unit while the ignition key is in "on" position. If there's no voltage, have someone check your ECM. If there's a good voltage reading, try replacing your ignition unit with a good one.

Doesn't start

I assume that when you started the car the starter was running and the engine was cranking.
Remove the #1 boot from spark plug 1. Insert a screw driver to the booth, bring the screw driver near the engine body (about 2 mm) and let someone start the engine. If there's no spark, replace the ignition coil. If there's a spark, check the ignition timing with a strobe light.

Before changing the ignition coil, make sure that the wires connected to it are alright. Remove them from the coil and switch on the engine. Measure the DC volts from the wires. You should get a 12 volts reading between them.
