Am I able to get the trouble codes on my own under the dash on my 99 grand Am?

Yes if u have the proper code reading scanner. U can buy these on ebay for around $30-$150.00 depending on how much they can do, the code read only scanner is the cheapeset one but least useful for diagnosis of the problem.

If you mean the heater blower resistor, it is on passenger side under dash by blower motor.

You need a OBD2 fault code reader as a minimum tool, the connector you plug it into is under the dash on the drivers side, see picture of standard OBD2 connector below.

it is under dash, drivers side. dash has to be pulled for installation. go to PDF PDFTown.com. should have instructions, or go to auozone.com, and register for znet. it has installation for your HEATER CORE there. good luck.

Rear Wing windows do not operate anymore


Have you checked all fuses under dash drivers side & under hood in fuse/relay box? The map for fuses/relay box is on under side of cover.
Let me know, I have a 99 Caravan sport with same, if you still have trouble I can try a few things for you. Do you own a 12VDC test light or a multimeter?

Srs airbag light is on on my 99 pontiac grand prix


If the seat belt light comes on intermittently with the belt buckled, it may have a bad switch in the buckle or a loose connection @ the switch. This may also set a diagnostic trouble code in the srs control module & keep the srs airbag light on.

the fan relay is loacated driver side under the dash fuse box
