Does it have a cabin air filter?

The most likely place to find a cabin air filter is where air from the high-level intake (those slots at the base of the windshield) flows into the interior. There may be a covered opening at the top of the firewall. The cover is removed to expose the compartment containing the cabin air filter. The old filter is pried out and the new filter installed.

BTW, a quick way to find out whether your Kia has a cabin air filter is to ask an auto parts supplier.

Under the hood, passenger side. at the fire wall you will find a small cover 2" x8" approx. This is where they hide the cabin air filter.

Interior air filter

If you mean the cabin filter, it is located under the dash on the passenger side, to the right of the center console. You need to remove a plastic strip-like cover and then you can pull the cabin filter out. It is quite long and to replace it takes a bit of fenagling.

Difference between an Air Filter and Air Conditioning filter

The air conditioning filter that your manual speaks of is known as a ''cabin filter'', it is much differant then your engine air filter. It filters the incoming air into your vehicles interior. So if someone has told you to replace your ''air filter'' they are more then likely speaking of your ''engine'' air fitler. You should check your engine air filter every oil change. If it shows signs of dirt, then replace it. Hope this helps =)
