Question about 1995 Dodge Dakota

1 Answer

Sorry, I can't afford to pay for expert advice, I'm disabled! I have posted a question and received answers, so I'm hoping for the best! We have 1995 Dodge Dakota 318 5.2ltr - and we've tested fuel pump, it's good! Short story is that we no there is NOT power at the connector, where it plugs in to the fuel pump. Since 3 yrs ago, we bypassed ASD to pcm for the same problem, now we don't know what to do, cause that bypass is still good, but don't know how to get power to the fuel pump!? Thanks for any advice!

Sorry, but it's about NO POWER going to the fuel pump! Somewhere in the harness, as there is no power at the connector, that plugs in to the fuel pump! Thanks tho

If ur dakota has good oil presure ,check to see if oil sending unit is leaking oil,if so replace it ,it needs replacing any way. very low oil presure will not allow fuel pump to come on threw this sending unit

Hi Troy,

Sorry, the site is a little confusing since it got revamped. If you post a question (like you did here), you basically just wait until someone answers your question. Then you will get an email notification that someone has answered your question (like you you got for this one). Any of the experts on the site that run across your question can post an answer. You will receive an email notifying you of each post that is made.

If you sign up for one of the expert's Pro services, it works pretty much the same, except the only one that will be answering is the Pro who's services you signed up for. The Pro services is a better way to get specific information about your vehicle, For instance, If you sign up for my Pro services, I can get you instructions, wiring diagrams, and picture diagrams from the service manual that explain the job you are doing. This type of information usually cannot be posted on the FixYa site either because of the size of the files or because of copyright issues. It is best to review the Pro's profile to make sure that the Pro's ratings and customer feedback indicates that the Pro is likely to get you the information and provide the services that you are needing.

Welcome to FixYa, I hope this information has been helpful.

Hi Bill,
I just happened to run accross this while looking for something else. I really appreciate the "kudos"!

Just thought I would let you know that if you want to speak directly with any of the experts on FixYa, the easiest way is to visit their profile and post a comment on one of their "solutions". When you do this, the expert will receive an email telling them that someone has posted a comment.

To visit my profile, go to:
http://www.fixya.com/users/dttech

On the new beta site, you can visit me at:
http://beta.fixya.com/users/dttech

Also on the new beta site, you can add me to your "Connections". That way when you post a question, I will get a notice that you have posted a question and I can see if I can answer it for you.

Thank You for using FixYa!

I am really glad to have helped.

I'm sorry that you didn't receive an answer to your headlight problem but you need to bear in mind that all of the experts here give up their time freely to help others. We have our own lives to lead so can't always answer immediately, and experts only attempt an answer if they have a fair idea of what the solution is.

Your question wasn't answered either because the correct expert hadn't yet seen it, or because what you described didn't make sense. Look at your original question:-

http://www.fixya.com/cars/t3241461-1990_miata_left_front_light_goes_up_down

It was listed under Mazda 323, so describing headlights going up and down made no sense. It's only with your churlish complaint that the world now realises it's actually an early MX-5 with pop-up headlamps. I realise that you called it a Miata in the text of your question, but when experts scan for questions it's usual to pay most attention to the heading. In any case, the Miata is unknown to many of us as it was only ever sold in North America. Unless you're Japanese the rest of the world knows it as an MX-5.

I respectfully suggest that before you bite the hands of those who may offer help that you check your facts are correct. Folks here genuinely are supremely generous and forgiving so perhaps if you re-post your question under the correct model heading then you'll maximise your chances of getting a solution.

As for the spammer you attracted that's an unfortunate part of this site being freely open to all. Nobody forced you to come here and if you don't like it then you have the free choice to take your MX-5 to a garage and pay to have it fixed or buy a Haynes Manual and solve the problem for yourself.

I believe there has been a misunderstanding here. Perhaps you have been guided in the wrong direction, or our website is confusing to you.

We give free solutions all the time. All that is required is that you become a member, to post a question, and to receive a reply. Just helps us to insure that we get you a solution.

I would respectively ask that you post a question, and one of our experts will be more than happy to provide a solution. I will post your dissatisfaction to our Community Manager, and hopefully we can resolve any issue.

I also want to take a crack at your question/s, and eagerly await them.

Should you see any negative comments on this website, be aware that they will be dealt with, and toot-suite!

Timing diagrm for 95 civic

Your public library will have a manual covering your mechanical repair. Moreover, they have the automotive shops online software called AllData. It is the best auto technician database available today. You can print out specific troubleshooting procedures, diagrams, step-by-step istructions, and soforth. The typical person cannot afford to pay for this service, just automotive dealerships, etc... that is why the public library made it available to everyone and for free to view and print out material. This should Fixya! Good Luck!

Heater problem in 1995 Cadillac deville

Hi,

For some reason, I think you were not able to see my posted initial solution. Below is a modified copy...

Initially, suspect would be the vent flaps/covers there-directs the airflow and the air source (hot/cold). In mostinstances, it would also involve the actuators and/or the pushwires/lingkagesthat connects them. Often these falloff and leaves the flap/covers stuckin a certain position. You may need to visually inspect how these flapcovers work and see if they move when you adjust the controls.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
