Suburban power seat

The worm gear is stripped. My 95 Dodge was the same way as I am a little larger than some others out there so the mechanism had to work harder. Most of the time you have to replace the entire seat track unit on the bottom of the seat. Not too difficult but can be spendy most times. Beware of wrecking yard parts for this particular issue, most of them will be well on their way to being just like yours.

Hello Chadwick, is this a 4wd suburban? it sounds like a planetary gear has gear broken. A visual inspection and some more testing with the truck up on a lift will be needed to pinpoint the problem.

My 2001 Chevy Suburban is making a loud ticking noise intermittently, it mostly happens at stop lights, but most especially when I start it in the morning. The oil pressure light and gauge show low to zero...

If the oil light and the gauge is showing low to zero pressure then you need to have the pressure checked by someone with a mechanical gauge to varify the pressure is low. Is the oil level at the full mark? I have seen where the oil pickup tube o ring gets hard over time and cracks which can allow the oil pump to draw in air and cause low oil pressure. If you run the engine with very low oil pressure for any length of time there is a chance that the engine may need to be replaced due to lack of lubrication. The chevrolet dealerships still provide very good service. Hope this helps.

1995 Chevy Suburban blows cold once charged then hours later hot

Its a leak ...probably concealed like in an evap housing or rear air unit and lines (if it has that). Prob at this juncture I would remove all the freon and bring system into a vaccuum with a pump and see if it will hold vaccum for an extended period of time. A bad leak will not hold srong vacuum very long and much cheaper than wasting expensive and enviromental un0friendly refrigerants.

Same noise

Just change the compressor it is easier than changing the clutch if you do dont forget to change the reciever dryer and the orfice tube and have a evacuation done on it.

My ac compressor suddenly stopped working. It makes a horrible sound like its not turning. Could this be low freon not allowing it to turn on, or the compressor is finished??

Hi there,if it is making a mechanical grinding or any other loud noises, its finished.Does this have rear ac.If it does, there is a design flaw on some years. The rear suction hose(rear evap core to compressor)bypasses the drier. This allows some moisture to make it back to the comp.I hope this was helpfull..Good Luck!!!
