Question about 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue
CAR STARTS ON SOME DAYS, AND NOT ON OTHERS. SOMETIMES WHEN IT WON'T START, I LET IT SIT AND 30 MIN LATER IT STARTS...I HAVE REPLACED THE BATTER, STARTER, CRANK POSITION SENSOR TO NO AVAIL. HAS BEEN LOOKED AT BY 4 MECHANICS AND THEY ALL CLAIM TO HAVE "FIXED IT" - ONE REPLACED THE IGNITION! WOULDN'T START THE NEXT DAY AFTER THAT REPAIR, THEY THEN REPLACED A FUSE THEY CLAIM, BUT WOULD NOT GIVE ME A DETAIL REPORT OF THE REPAIR - OTHER MECHANICS ALL DID SIMILAR REPAIRS AND NOTHING WORKED....SHOULD I JUST DUMP IT? IT SEEMS LIKE THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH THE OTHER VEHICLES TOO - WHY WOULDN'T THE MANUFACTURER HAVE A SOLUTION FOR THIS OR KNOW WHAT IT IS AS OTHERS HAVE THE SAME ISSUES & NO ONE CAN FIGURE IT OUT...SIGH....
CHECK FOR SPARK AT SPARKPLUG LEAD IF CAR FAILS TO START.
NO SPARK CAN BE THE CONTROL MODULE INSIDE DISTRIBUTOR
CAN GIVE PROBLEM OR BAD IGNITION COIL.
