Starter solenoid has failed or the wire from ignition dose not give 12v to the solenoid.
you can also repair solenoid.

Check if you have power at the starter from the ignition key
Try give direct power to the starter, if still not starts, you have a bad starter

I have a 2001 chrysler sebring the starter won't

sounds like your bendix on the starter spring load mechinism gear you will need to test it by removing your starter and hooking up a battery to it. You will see and hear the gear come out and turn...if it doesnt function properly then you will have to replace your starter.also may want to check the solinoid..

I need to know what is the meaning of fuse #8 on

I'm pretty sure this is for the starter circuit. have seen a few pop and it always turned out to be the starter. I think chrysler has a TSB on this problem
