If you don't have the 4 digit code, the dealer will charge you to give it to you. I received my code when I bought my Eclipse and memorized it since I'm so cheap! Hope this helps.

Battery is gone on toyota verso, wont open and wont start

When I have a car with a hood that won't open, I'll go through the grill (a matter of Torx(tm) or phillips screwdrivers/sockets/small pry bars, etc.) and operate the hood latch by reaching up under the hood from below, or even disassemble the entire hood latch away from the frame (usually 3-4 10mm machine screws).
This will get you into the engine compartment.
Try to get into your engine compartment sooner rather than later, since a flat dead battery will cause the stereo radio to assume that its been stolen, and then it'll require entry of your 3,4 or 5-digit unlock code before the radio works again.
Your radio unlock code can be found on a card that comes from the dealership at the time of sale. If you need to ask the dealership for your unlock code and they charge you money, consider calling/dealing with a different dealership (its a 2-second computer lookup for them) or post another query to www.FixYa.com asking for your car radio unlock code, specifying the car's year/make/model/engine type and also the radio model number - you'll have to yank the radio to get the model number.
Your car's "engine type" comes from the 8th digit of your car's VIN code (the 17-digit number visible thru the windshield at the bottom of the driver's side).

Yes your radio need a code and you suppose to have it when you bought the car. So now call your dealer and ask for the code and i think they will ask for your information and your VIN number. Good luck

Disconnected battery now radio wont work is there an code

The radio is usually tied in with the anti-thief. If it is asking for a code then you probable have to remove the radio far enough to gei the serial number off it. Call a dealership with the radio serial number and then can give you the code. If it is not asking for a code then chances are it is an electrical problem with the radio maybe a fuse.

If it is saying code 2, thats not a code to input anything. Its a error code for a hardware malfunction.

Need radio code for 2000 honda accord coupe PLEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!

the only way to get the code is to call a Honda dealer and ask them for it. you must remove the radio and get the #'s of of it. They will probaly ask for the serial # . IF you are lucky they wont charge you, usually they want you to bring the car in and charge you $50 or more to do it. When you call ask for parts and tell them you need a radio code have the serial # ready. Good luck.

I had a starter relay problem on my 2001 Eclipse. Now my factory radio wont work. It asked for a code and I typed in a few random #'s and now it says OFF and wont work now. Do you know how I can fix this?

That's a bummer. The factory radio has a anti-thief device that keeps the radio from working if the wrong code is put in too many times. When this happens, the radio is on lock-down. No more codes can be entered.

Only the dealer right now can only unlock the radio for you. They can get the correct code by the serial number on the radio. But, you still need them to remove the lock-down in place.

Radio wont come on

Go to the very front (or back) of your owners manual (NOT in the radio section) and you may find the codes there. If not, go to your GM dealer. (Should be inexpensive job.)
