Remove the coils on the intake between the fuel injectors. The plugs are under the coils. It looks like you would have to remove the fuel rail to remove the coils, but you don't. Just unbolt the coil and remove it. This job is a real pain. The back ones are hard to get to. You will scream at it for a while.

My 1998 Ford expedition does'nt have spark plugs or wires. It says it's a 5.4 v-8

you vehicle has coil on plug ignition system. each spark plug has a coil on it. there are no conventional plug wires, so to speak, that carry high voltage to the plug. there are however, small primary wires the provide t12 volts to the coil which is on top of the plug and is screwed to the manifold.

20 expedition location of spark plugs ?4.6

Plugs are near the top of the cylinder heads facing upwards. They are not fun to change as the passenger's side doesn't have a lot of room to work in.

Hi, it should have a chrome fuel rail on each side. Right below that are the injectors. Just to the side are the coils , unplug the coils, remove the retainer screws, pull the coil streight up and the plugs are under them. There is a coil per plug.
