I have the same probley 2006 LS... Solve if you notice when you press that button that closes off the out side air of your car it makes that... (More) if you notice when you press that button that closes off the out side air of your car it makes that noise.you don't even have to turn on the ac. it is just that open and close air vent that is stuck and it taps until it closes all the way. there is a motor that openes and closes that vent and on the motor that opens and closes that vent is a connector that just needs to be readjusted. i took the gove compartment off to see where the noise was and i found it. when you press those two buttons (the open and close air buttons) you can see the vent open and close and on the right of that vent you will see the motor and the connector that has to be readjusted. i hope you are good with taking things apart. it took me a second to see how it worked but it was so easy to fix. better than paying the dealer ship. if you have questions please ask me

What is the nocking noise when heater/airconditioner is on and it goes away in about 30 seconds>

Could be the blower motor is worn out (wobbles at start up). I have also found sticks, pennies and other trash lay on top of the fan that would make noises. The blower is on the passenger side under the cover.

Noise

Based on your description, I would say it probably is the differential gears, and I would not drive it on the highway until you get it inspected. Very unusual for a car that new.

I have a 2004 Impala. when I turned off the ignition myheater blower stayed on what can i do tofix it cheap?

More than likely the resistor for the heater motor is causing the problem
it is located behind the heater motor under the dash on the passengers side. If the heater motor is making noises it may be drawing to much and caused the resistor problem.
