A/C is not working. I had it charged a while back and was told it was not acting normally but was not provided with a solution. It barely worked before and now its not working at all!

There is a leak somewhere in the system. You have 2 options. You can buy a kit from PEP Boys OR Autozone. With a blacklight and 1 can of R134 with leak detect oil in it that shows up under the light. Or let a shop do it... AC system parts are fairly inexspensive and straight forward to change and save you money because, you have to pay to have the system evacuated to remove all air.

Only way to tell if A/C Evaporator Core Orifice tube is plugged is by looking at A/C gauge readings , An if it is plugged you more then likely need a new compressor , they become plugged with metal particles from worn out compressor. Your best bet would be to take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop .

2005 montana blowing hot air out of a/c

If it had to be charged, it probably has a leak. Check low side pressure. If low, repair leak and recharge. If pressure is good, please get back to us for next troubleshooting step.

I brought my car into Sear autobody to have my a/c recharged. They called back and said it want hold a charge and it is full. What can be a possible problem of why it want hold a charge, and it is blowing...

Hello, a proper Air Conditioning recharge centre should check all connections when re gassing and pin point any leaks. For it not to hold charge than there is a leak somewhere, they usually put a special dye into the gas so if it is leaking you can see where it is coming from. There is also a computerised sensor which is scanned along the connection joints that also picks up any leaks, you need to find yourself a proper gassing centre and ask then if they can detect leaks before they do any work.

Compressor turns, holds a charge but does not blow cold air even when I turn on the outside air it blows warm air

OK, this is air-conditioning 1-0-1

You say that i holds a charge, and the compressore turns, but does the comprressor cycle on and off, as this is indicating that there is enough charge, and once there is low pressure detected, it turns the compressor on, and when it reaches a high pressure, the compressor cycles off.

Lastly, when engine running and AC on, if you feel the 2 pipes going in to the firewall, one should be hot, the other should be cold ???...is this happening ???

A dealership fixed my cooling system. I was told it was an airpocket in the system. Now my ac only blows hot air. They keep putting me on hold and its hot outside. any ideas?

if the low side tube is cold while the compressor is working the problem will be on air door module, or one piece of hose from intake manifold go to recirculation door is dis connected, but if he compressor is not working, there is only two reason, even the refrigerant pressure is too high or too low, if low a leak on your system, if too high overcharge or clogged expansion valve or the condenser, if refrigrant is i the right pressure and compressor is not working, check the supply on main switch, ambient temperature sensor, refrigrant pressure sensor and the high pressure sensor, if all ok,. replace compressor

2001 cavalier air conditioner blowing hot air

Why do they want to replace the compressor?noisy? If you can put a charge on the ac then it's hot again after a day, then you have a leak.all the ac lines have o-rings where they are connected.without put dye in the system you wont know for sure.So I would try that first.

Air conditioning

If the system isn't cycling on and off every two seconds then the charge is fine, your evaporator may be clogged. It might be more cost efective to send it to the dealer.
