Wereisp0327 nock sensor located on 2007 malbiu 4 cylinder engine

Off of the main engine harness in front of the engine, you'll find a lead that goes to the coolant temp sensor, and just after that a little lower towards the driver's side you'll find the Knock sensor lead.ac21663_1.jpg

Knock sensor where is the nock snsor

it is buried in the engine. Do not change it even if you get a code. It is a passive sensor and will not affect the engine. $600 to change it and it won't run any better.

What side of the engine is the nock sensor on on a 2003 silverado 4.8

You know where the intake manifold is on some silverado you may have to remove the intake manifold, It is threaded into the block under the intake manifold , some production months the bolt goes right in the coolant passage, when you install it the torque is 14-15 FT-LBS. some production monthes its above the starter and samand some below exhaust manifold, same toque setting, before you take it out to service the knock sensor, do you have a hitch, ? If you do a hitch bouncing around can set off a knock sensor code.

Engine nocking noise

I would have tried new pLugs and wires and using fuel injection cleaner in the regularly. You could also check to see that the Mass Airflow Sensor was not damaged.

Bad nock but still has lots of power

If it has a true knock it could be a spun bearing or piston wrist-pin,this being the case you'll need to get in to the motor. One way to locate the issue, as to what cylinder, is to run the engine at idle in park with E-brake on; remove and replace one at a time the spark plug boots. If you find by removing one boot from a plug and the knock sound drops out this could most likely be the cylinder at issue. I hope this may have helped,

Nocking when cold then goes away (Proton coupe )

It sounds like you may have some sludge in your oil. When the engine is cold the oil is thicker and takes a while for the oil pump to pump it through the engine. The next time you change the oil. Do an engine oil flush first to clean the inside of the engine and ports. If this does not work you might have to have the oil pump checked. There is no need to worry as long as you have oil pressure and the knocking stops. I hope this helps. Don't forget to rate this answer.
