Passenger side window in 1997 E Class Mercedes will not roll up

These things have fuses boxes all over the place and are a nightmare to work on :>D

Remove the inner door panel & replace the
regulator cable assy,switch motor over the new one
if possible

DOES THE ROLL DOWN FUNCTION WORK FROM THE DOOR CYLINDER WITH THE KEY?HAVE ANY FLUIDS EVER GOT ONTO THE SWITCHES?DO THE LIGHTS DIM SLIGHTLY ON THE DASH WITH KEY ONBUT ENGINE IS OFF AND THE WINDOW SWITCHES ARE DEPRESSED?IF THEY DO ITS DRAWING CURRENT.CHECK FOR STUCK GLASS OR BAD WINDOW REGULATOR/MOTOR.IF THEY DON'T DIM THEN CHECK FOR BROKEN WIRING OR POOR SWITCH.

the contacts are dirty first try can of compresed air like you use on your pc,you might have to remove the switch and clean the contacts with rubbing alcohol.

clean the pollen filter out ,its under the dash passenger side

need to replace the seat belt. was a common problem for those cars.

Replace the window switch, if that doesnt work remove door panel and replace the regulator for the window.

1997 Mercedes Benz C230 2.3L SFI DOHC 4cyl the Fuel Filter is located under vehicle, passenger side, below seating area, front of fuel tank, mounted on frame in fuel line.

mercedes a160 passenger window will not close

had same problem with my e240 i thought the window motor is the problem. but i figured out that the window is just stucked up and it needs to be lubricated. i tried putting power window lubricant on the sides and it worked. my advice is not to use a pertroleum based lubricant. try a silicone spray lubricant which is safe for rubbers and vinyls. i hope this helps. thank you.
