Brake sign can come up if one or more stop bulbs are blown out. The battery sign is difficult to diagnose with this amount of information.

Rear brakes on 2011 kia sorento

You will likely find there are two bolts holding the calipers on the 2011 Kia Sorento. You can check this by parking your Sorento, setting the parking brake to be sure it won't roll and carefully lifting and removing one of the rear wheels, just like you are removing a flat.

When you remove the wheel, you should find that the brake caliper carrier is accessible on the rear top of the wheel assembly. Simply reach around and carefully feel the carrier assembly and you should feel a couple of bolt heads because two bolts are generally used to hold down Kia rear calipers.

Replace brake pads

Remove wheels. Remove calpers and extract worn pads. Open bleed screw on calper and using suitable tool ( G clamp ect) push the piston all the way back in. Close of bleeder screw. Check that the disc (rotor) is in good condition and fit pads in reverse to the way you removed them taking care that all antireattlle devices are correctly fitted., REfitting is reverse to dissasembly. Rear pads are more difficult to do because of the hand brake mechanism

I just had the front brake pads replaced and the mechanic said that the rear pads were fine, but now they are making the shushing sound, even when I am driving and not braking. What should I do?

first port of call is to return to the guy who said all was ok on the rear brakes of a sorento there are brake pads for your service/foot brake, but the handbrake works on a sepperate system. there are brake shoes within the rear brake discs which are solely for the parking brake... have these been overtightened ar just full of dust, my advice is to take it back, if no joy then try someone who knows about this system
any advice i can help with then ask.
regards
roger

Where is the fuel pump? is it in gas tank? the car will start go a few blocks and shut off and not restart. I think it is fuel pump, may be fuel filter I also need to replace throttle positioning switch....

yes it is in the tank. but you can remove the rear seat to get to the fuel pump, instead of dropping tank. (2003 to 2005) kia sorento. fuel filter is inside tank and replaced with fuel pump as an assembly.

2004 kia sorento cannot get rear brake rotor off. have removed screws and it is loose but wont come off.

make sure parking brake is off
take off caliper
pemove rotor
if the park brake shoes inside rotor are tight then you have to loosen the adjuster to remove
theres a hole in the rotor rotate it up and look through hole until you see the adjuster wheel loosen by rotating adjuster with flat blade screw driver
