Why breaks lights staying on - 2002 Ford F150 Regular Cab

Normally all parking lights are controlled by the light switch. First turn turn on the parking lights and second turn turns on the head lights.

Are you sure it is not your break lights staying on? if this is your break lights - look at break pedal for break light switch staying on or not adjusted correctly. Does your car battery gets drained from your break lights staying on?

Check the brake light switch on the end of the steering column close to the firewall...

hi see if there is a switch behind the brake peddle,undo one of the connectors,then switch ignition on and see if the brake lights have gone out,if so replace falty switch.

I would say your break switch is stuck. It is a round chrome cylinder above your break pedal. The break stem hits it when you push down the break. Try to loosen the button. It is stuck.

Sounds like the alternator is bad

itg maybe this simple cause l've seen stranger, try replacing both bulbs,

bad brake light switch it is behind the brake pedal

If what you mean by break light is the warning on the dash facia then it could either be fluid level or the button on the park lever is sticking.

It may be on because the fluid level is low, fill it a little. I should be a DOT3 or DOT4 brake fluid,
