What order do the spark plug wires go on the distributor for a 1992 mazda protege dx

You may need a book with a diagram for this. Most auto parts stores have the books. Online search may be good too.
Firing order is 1342 counterclockwise. You may have to put the timing marks on TDC to know which wire terminal is cylinder one. Cylinder one is the cylinder closest to the drive belts.

1992 mazda protege dx 4 dr won't start. Battery is only 2 months old. Makes a fast ticking sound from inside car similar to turn signal light out.

Hi Robin, As the battery is new and presumably not defective, I think you should suspect the soloniod fitted to the starter motor. If that component has become defective it will give the sound you're reporting. Depending on where you live in the world and the labour charges, you can have the contacter's replaced or the starter motor (if labour charges are high) Regards John

What are the original sized tires for a mazda protege 1992

175/70/R13 For the DX Model
185/60/R14 for the 4wd model and LX

You can also look directly on your tires sidewall, or side of tire and locate the sizing.
If you see the 14, it has a 14" tire, meaning, it fits a 14" rim.
If you see a 13", it has a 13" tire and fits a 13" rim.

Hope this helps, rate for it to help others.

Mazda protege backfires when try to start it

SOUNDS like you have put 1 of the plug wires on the wrong way around OR you have got a valve sticking or burnt out so go back and check the firing order
on a 4 cylinder its 1342 and on a 6 clinder its 153652
RECHECK AND LET ME KNOW HOW YOU GET ON.
