The order of the park pluggs and coil packs is easy it goes:

driver side passenger side
5 ------ 1
6 ------ 2
7 ------ 3
8 ------ 4

1 through 4 is on the passengers side and 5 though 8 is on the drivers side, and all in order.

I think No. 7 cylinder is on the driver's side, 2nd from the back. Unplug it and see if it makes a difference. You can also do all of them one at a time to check difference.

I need to locate the number 4 spark plug wire to replace the spark plug can you tell me how to locate this wire on a 05 ford expedition

Your vehicle doesn't have spark plug wires . Has coil on plug ignition system . Eight individual coils sitting right on top of the spark plugs . An the spark plugs have the tendency to break in the cylinder head . Does your ford have the 5.4 L 3 valve engine . Your best bet is to take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop that has the tool to take the broken spark plug out off the cylinder head. I have a 2001 ford escape xlt 4 wheel drive. i had a diagnostic test done & it said it detected a misfire in cylinder 3. i am a do it yourselfer and am going to change all 6 spark plugs but the problem...

I am assuming that you have a V6 Engine because 1, 3 and 5 would be on the other side of 2, 4 and 6. A Striaght in line engine would have them all in a row.

But another way to locate your spark plugs would be to find your Spark plug wires and follow them to the spark plug.

Good Luck
