Question about 1995 Nissan Maxima
Car: Nissan Maxima SE 1997 I was driving along at about 65mps when the tachometer/RPM gauge suddenly went from 2000 rpm to over the redline and then stayed there even though I brought the car to standstill and engine was normal. The tachometer needle is still at 8000+ RPM
how can I fix the tachometer?
The dash voltage egulator probably went bad. First, check the battery & make sure you have 12 volts, not running. Check it again running & you should see about 14.5 volts. If that's good,I'd replace the guage assembly.
